CustomsMatters' Import Control System (ICS)

CustomsMatters has successfully concluded extensive tests with the ICS system in both Irish and UK jurisdictions.

The purpose of this notification is to advise all carriers, importers, customs agents, freight forwarders and any other persons involved in the import of goods to Ireland directly from third countries (i.e. where an Irish port/airport is the first point of entry of the goods to the European Union), of important changes that will take place from 1st January 2011.

  • Reduced data sets for entry and exit summary declarations - only for AEO safety and security;
  • AEO's will be in a stronger position to benefit from simplified procedures.
